El Defensor Chieftain – Jun 13, 2007
People from all around the United States are reporting calls from persons who identify themselves as “jury coordinators. ” The jury coordinator tells the person he or she has called because that person has skipped out on jury duty and there is now a warrant out for their arrest. If the person who is called protests that they never received a notice about jury duty the caller asks for verification of personal information in order to “clear up the situation. ” The caller asks for the person’s name birth date social security number and possibly even a credit card number to pay a fine.
